WildLandscapes International (WildLandscapes) is thrilled to announce the election of two new members to its Board of Directors: William Ambrose and Krista Mitchell Cornell.

These distinguished individuals bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and fresh perspectives to our board. Their induction marks the beginning of a transformative chapter for WildLandscapes, heralding a period of enhanced clarity and focus in our mission. Their collective understanding across different sectors promises to propel WildLandscapes into a phase of timely growth and development.

As we embrace this exciting stage, we reaffirm our dedication to our core values and to the vision that has always guided us, now amplified by the strengths of our new board members.

William (Bill) Ambrose

Bill currently leads Stone Silo LLC, advising sustainability and technology-driven startups, and founded Emerging Energy Research and Pyramid Research, focusing on renewable energy and telecoms in developing regions, respectively. He is an accomplished entrepreneur and authority in the telecommunications, renewable energy, and water sectors, co-founding Bluefield Research, which advises the global water industry, and serving as an advisor to Xalam Analytics, which analyzes digital infrastructure in Africa. Actively involved in nonprofits, his efforts concentrate on biodiversity, women's empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, and climate resilience, including leadership roles with BOMA, Saha Global, Natura International, and the New England Center for Investigative Reporting (now part of WGBH). He earned an MBA from Columbia University, specializing in international business and industry analysis, and holds a BA in economics and intercultural studies from Trinity College, Hartford, CT. Bill’s ability to navigate complex organizational landscapes will be invaluable, enhancing our operational efficiency and contributing significantly to our collective success.

Bill expressed his enthusiasm for joining WildLandscapes International, stating:

Krista Mitchell Cornell 

Krista is currently a founder and managing partner at FSO Partners, philanthropic advisors who specialize in bespoke strategies for a wide range of charitable visions and opportunities. She excels at transforming the potential into the tangible, bridging human connections, scrutinizing organizational frameworks and objectives, and turning challenges into legitimate, powerful solutions. With more than two decades of experience, she has significantly contributed to the success of many national not-for-profits, startups, and community initiatives. She’s equally passionate about the natural world, and loves exploring it. Her dedication to preserving wilderness environments complements her entrepreneurial drive to foster a more sustainable and equitable world.

Krista will be actively engaging in and significantly supporting the organization's fundraising initiatives. Through strategic planning and execution, her role will encompass the identification of potential donor opportunities, cultivation of key relationships, and the orchestration of comprehensive fundraising campaigns, all aimed at bolstering the financial resources necessary for advancing WildLandscapes International's mission and objectives. Krista Mitchell Cornell emphasized the importance of preserving wilderness environments, affirming:
