WildLandscapes International works to empower local partners to conserve globally important landscapes thereby promoting the connectivity necessary to protect entire ecosystems, including biodiversity, clean water, and healthy soil. This collaboration involves ranching communities, Native peoples, sportsmen, foresters, fisherfolk, local governments, and conservation organizations.
Our work is both an intensive and long-term effort for delivering substantial and lasting results. We focus on investing in rural and Native economies, conserving wide-ranging wildlife, restoring endangered species, and developing resiliency strategies to protect landscapes and wildlife from the effects of climate change.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Department of State, USAID, and private U.S. foundations provide nearly 90% of conservation funding abroad. Yet, grassroots organizations driving some of the most impactful conservation often lack access to U.S. resources. Without connections to U.S. government funding or philanthropy hubs like New York, Florida, and California, they struggle to secure the support needed to protect globally significant landscapes. WildLandscapes International - and our new entity, WildLandscapes East Africa - addresses this challenge by partnering with innovative organizations, offering expertise in fundraising, public finance, and landscape conservation, with solutions that often transcend borders.
Domestically, WildLandscapes takes a parallel approach by harnessing public funding, philanthropic support, and collaborations with local organizations to protect vital ecosystems. By strengthening our partners’ ability to access and deploy these resources effectively, we create a powerful link between funding and on-the-ground conservation, ensuring lasting impact.
We are always eager to explore new opportunities to collaborate and make a meaningful impact. We welcome prospective partners to reach out and share their projects, visions, and challenges with us. Whether you’re working on conservation, community engagement, or sustainable development, we would love to learn about your goals and discuss how we can support you. Please feel free to contact Brenda on bschuster@wildlandscapes.org with details about your project and how you envision us working together to achieve success.
