Board Position

WildLandscapes International is a pioneering force in global conservation and community empowerment, driving sustainability and systemic change. We are actively seeking visionary, influential, and dynamic leaders to join our Board of Directors. These individuals will collaborate closely with other board members and staff to help WildLandscapes International achieve its mission, meet its objectives, and deliver on its priorities.

Qualifications for Board Applicants:

  • Eager to elevate WildLandscapes' public profile through personal and professional networks.

  • Committed to strategic leadership that aligns with WildLandscapes' mission and objectives.

  • Skilled in cultivating partnerships and financial oversight for long-term sustainability.

  • Willing to offer mentorship and capacity building to enhance staff and board capabilities.

  • Committed to comprehensive fundraising efforts, including personal giving, leveraging personal and professional networks, donor identification, and relationship cultivation.

  • Willing to devote approximately 12 hours per month to WildLandscapes matters.

  • Available for four board meetings annually.

  • Willing to commit to at least one three-year term.

Desired Expertise:

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Passionate about conservation, with a focus on quality and effective initiatives.

  • Demonstrates integrity and ethical standards in all actions.

  • Socially responsible, with an understanding of the broader impact of the organization's work.

  • Experience in board governance, team management, and fostering a culture of trust.

  • Understanding of non-profit financials, expense management, and revenue forecasting.

  • Understanding of impact investing, long-term fundraising plans, and sustainable development projects.

  • Legal expertise in countries where WildLandscapes operates and the ability to engage with governmental bodies.

  • Experience in volunteering, fundraising, campaign design, and donor outreach for conservation causes.

Previous board experience and leadership skills are strong assets. We are committed to diversity and encourage individuals from traditionally under-represented backgrounds to apply.
