Established in July 1990 and renamed in 2011, the KWS Law Enforcement Academy, located within Tsavo West National Park, has been instrumental in training wildlife personnel and stakeholders in conservation. The academy offers comprehensive programs in paramilitary procedures, ecology, and ecosystem management, ensuring that rangers are well-prepared to tackle the challenges of wildlife conservation.

WildLandscapes International was honored to participate in this momentous occasion. Our Director, David Houghton, attended the ceremony and donated a drone to KWS to enhance their conservation efforts. This contribution aligns with our commitment to supporting KWS's strategic initiatives, such as the Kenya Rhino Range Expansion Project, which aims to double the black rhino population by 2037 across four key landscapes.

The dedication of these newly graduated rangers signifies a promising advancement in Kenya's conservation narrative. Their commitment, alongside collaborative efforts from various stakeholders, is crucial in protecting the country's extraordinary habitats and wildlife. We look forward to continued partnership with KWS and other organizations in promoting sustainable conservation practices and ensuring a thriving future for Kenya's natural treasures.
